Exciting new co-working space “The Hatch Lab” for the South East

Wexford County Council announces partnership with Bank of Ireland

Wexford County Council has announced it is embarking on an exciting new 5-year partnership with Bank of Ireland to deliver a unique enterprise start-up facility.

The Hatch Lab is located on the M11 Business Campus in Gorey, County Wexford and offers incubation and co-working facilities for fledgling micro-enterprises within the innovation and technology sector. The state-of-the-art facilities have been modelled on similar world-class innovation centres both in Ireland and abroad, with the result that clients and companies from across the south-east region who choose to locate in the Hatch Lab can enjoy services such as hot-desks, meeting space, joint administrative services and high-speed broadband within a unique co-working and start-up environment.

Commenting on the partnership launch Mr Tom Enright, Chief Executive of Wexford County Council said, “We are delighted to be celebrating this partnership with Bank of Ireland. Having visited Bank of Ireland Workbench sites we were excited about the prospect of working together to deliver a new regional concept for start-up enterprise that can rival city locations. By pooling resources and expertise from across both organisations, we can deliver a suite of programmes and supports to start-up and growing enterprises unrivalled by anything currently on offer in Ireland. Both organisations are committed to making The Hatch Lab an exciting and successful space to grow global enterprises”.

Speaking on behalf of Bank of Ireland, JJ Keyes, Head of Wexford, Bank of Ireland said, “Bank of Ireland has always played an active role in supporting businesses across Leinster, and our partnership with Wexford County Council through The Hatch Lab will further strengthen that support. As Ireland’s largest lender, Bank of Ireland strongly supports businesses to grow and develop, and initiatives like The Hatch Lab along with our Workbenches in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick and start-labs in Galway and New York, add to our supports for the business community.”

Through the partnership, Bank of Ireland will provide a suite of supports to The Hatch Lab initiative including a dedicated Community Manager for the South East region, start-up weekends and expert business mentoring from the Bank’s dedicated Innovation Team.
